Online Therapy in Victoria BC & Across British Columbia

Welcome to my website! I am so glad you found your way here!

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia providing online therapy to adults and couples throughout BC.

Many people reach for therapy during times when life feels overwhelming, uncertain, or difficult to navigate alone. You may be carrying a lot of stress, trying to make sense of a painful experience, or noticing patterns in your life or relationships that you would like to change. Therapy offers a space to slow things down, reflect, and begin to understand what you need moving forward.

Whether you are looking for someone to talk to while you are processing a difficult experience, you are looking for ways to move past old patterns that are getting in your way or you feel like you’re drowning in caregiving responsibilities and don’t know how to come up for air, counselling can help and I’d love to work with you.

Who I Work With

Although I have a special interest in working with caregivers, clients come to see me for a wide range of issues including:

  • anxiety & depression,
  • grief & loss,
  • stress & burnout,
  • addiction issues,
  • relationship issues,
  • divorce/separation,
  • family caregiving or professional caregiving
  • activist burnout
  • life transition challenges
  • trauma
  • sleep issues
  • chronic pain/disability

How Counselling Therapy can Help

Whatever you are struggling with, counselling can help you to develop greater insight into your particular situation so you can see your way through. It can help you learn healthier coping strategies, develop effective communication skills, enhance relationships and tap into strengths you never knew you had.

Therapy can also help you make sense of your emotional responses, understand patterns that may have developed over time, and create space for new ways of responding. Many people find that counselling helps them feel more grounded, more connected to themselves, and better able to navigate both everyday stressors and more significant life challenges.

Support For Caregivers

If you are a caregiver for a loved one who has complex care needs, your role as caregiver may be taking all of your time and energy, leaving nothing for your own needs. Together, we can explore ways to support your well-being while caring for those who depend on you. This might include setting boundaries, processing the emotional impact of caregiving, and reconnecting with parts of yourself that may have been set aside. Caregivers often give so much to others, and therapy can be a space where you are supported in return.

Taking care of yourself is essential for you and for your loved one. Therapy for caregivers can help you to find that balance.

My Approach

I incorporate a variety of strength-based approaches into my practice including CBT, DBT, Mindfulness Practice, Parts work, EMDR and Narrative. I am guided by compassion and I work collaboratively with my clients. I believe counselling is an important component in cultivating peace and justice in our world and I see connections to community & with nature as fundamental to our health and well-being.

I get it that it isn’t easy to open up about your pain with someone you don’t know. It takes courage to allow yourself to be vulnerable and to reach out for this kind of support. My approach is very gentle. Together we can discover your unique path toward healing and to develop effective ways to respond to whatever challenges you are facing. If you are looking for online therapy in Victoria or anywhere in British Columbia or if you have any questions, please get in touch.
